Have you ever wondered what it means when someone says that
the planet Mercury is in retrograde?
The occurance of Mercury in Retrograde happens 3-4 times a year when the planet Mercury appears to move backward in the sky. This action diminishes the power of Mercury and seems to cause slowdowns of all kinds.
Our current retrograde period began on January 5 at 8:06 am EST . . .
Preparing for Solstice: December 21, 2015 (PST)
Before there can be a beginning, there must be an ending. Every beginning begins with an end. And after every end, there is a beginning. All continues.
Rather than seeing Solstice as the shortest day or longest night, I see it as the day when the daylight begins to get longer here in the Northern Hemisphere. More light. More enlightenment. Clearer vision. For those in the Southern Hemisphere, this is the day when the days begin to get shorter . . .
Thanksgiving. Not everyone has a family to celebrate thanksgiving with, this week. Not everyone feels that they have something to be thankful for. Not everyone has friends to hold them up. Not everyone has accomplished what they have wanted in their lives. Not everyone is happy. Not everyone is well. Not everyone is free. Not everyone is whole. Not everyone is satisfied. Not everyone has a warm place. Not everyone will have a stuffed turkey. Not everyone will watch 'the game' after dinner. Not everyone has someone. Not everyone cares.
On only two days per year does the night equal the day (the Equinoxes in March/September). Balance, a newness, growth, birth. In my mind, the Vernal Equinox in March is like the “new” year. The energy of this time, the space around you urges a movement to balance. For us, tomorrow, another show is also going on, an amazing SuperMoon, appearing oh so close to the Earth and so large, and then it moves between the Earth and the Sun in perfect placement for a Total Solar Eclipse. Another kind of balance . . .
In our July 27th Newsletter, we shared the principles that guide all that we do at Rainwater Designs. One of those principles is, “All of us can have well-being in our lives” and another is that, “We can create the space around us with joy and well-being in mind, and it will support us.” Both of these truly embody the essence of empowerment. We absolutely believe that each of us has the innate ability to create our lives with specific intention. Choosing to allow the energies of the world around us as support in moments when we might not feel as strong or “in control” or loved is evidencing personal knowledge, strength, and wisdom . . .
The following are the principles that guide everything we do here at Rainwater Designs. You may have already noticed the threads of this knowledge, these beliefs, as they’ve woven in and out through our work on the Facebook page, within these Newsletters, in our classes, in our Intuitive Readings, in the Feng Shui Consultations, and in all of our writings. These Guiding Principles are also inherently present within the intent and creation of all of our jewelry and energy charms.
